Apparently, Hyundai has already started showing off its new Creta sub-compact SUV in India ahead of the car’s debut in the country at the end of next month.

Creta is just another name for Hyundai’s ix25, which as many of you pointed out in our previous story, was launched in China late last year. Regardless of what Hyundai calls it, it’s the retail version of the thinly-disguised ix25 Concept from the 2014 Beijing Auto Show

The example you see pictured here is the India-specification version of the global Creta that is built on the underpinnings of the i20 supermini, with which it should share its powertrains as well.

At just under 4.3 meters long and with a wheelbase of 2,590 (102 inches), the Creta joins a rapidly growing market of small SUVs that include the Nissan Juke, Mazda CX-3 (read our test drive here), Jeep Renegade and Honda HRV.
