Even if the next generation Roomster is to have a great many things in common with the VW Caddy, that shouldn’t necessarily mean that it will look exactly like the V-Dub.

In fact, based on different reports, the all-new Roomster should be more MPV-like in both shape as well as size, space and specs.

Believe it or not, the new Roomster has been a very well kept secret so far, which leads us to believe that we’ll get something a bit more different than the original model, which was kind of like a mix between a Caddy and a Fabia.

Still, lots of people (families in general) did like the original Roomster, saying that their kids loved the big window feature. If the new gen model is to look anything like this rendering, the “big window” could make an appearance. Other than that, all we see here are a bunch of Skoda elements at the front such as the lights, bumper, grille and badge.

However, with a classic MPV-type vehicle, you probably can’t make that feature work, design-wise.

Besides, wouldn’t your family be more comfortable in an MPV than in something smaller and more utilitarian that looks like it was born to be an airport shuttle?

Western Europe (especially) loves its MPVs, which is something Skoda is definitely aware of.
