Here’s an idea; how about slowing down and perhaps even stopping your car whenever you see the barrier drop in front of a railroad crossing? Words to live by.

On a lighter side, this crash does look like a really cool real-life stunt, like something you would indeed see in a Michael Bay film or similar to what we saw in the latest Mad Max movie.

As for the force of the crash, you can clearly see that the KIA Cerato‘s front end is nearly disintegrated upon impact with the barrier, which is why we’re glad to see the driver getting out of the car and being seemingly OK.

Speaking of drivers, the guy behind the wheel of that Toyota Highlander had the presence of mind to actually get out of the way! If he hadn’t looked in his rear-view mirror in time, the Cerato would have clipped his rear bumper and probably spun around a few times.

Also, the people that started removing debris from the tracks probably did so because the train was approaching, and all those plastic and metal bits on the ground could have been thrown around at high speed.

Yet we have to wonder what the driver of that KIA was thinking, or if he was thinking at all? Drunk? Asleep? In a hurry? Low IQ?

Hopefully he has learned his lesson…
