U Spy: Is This Fiat’s New Pickup Truck?

A Carscoops reader snagged this photo of what is claimed to be Fiat’s upcoming mid-size pickup truck with which it will compete against the Toyota Hilux, Ford Ranger, Nissan Navara and VW Amarok.

When our own spies caught Fiat testing a heavily disguised prototype of the as-of-yet unnamed truck earlier this year, there wasn’t much we could tell about the design as it was hidden behind plastic body panels.

This one, on the other hand, is a lot more revealing – if, of course, it is Fiat’s new truck in double cab form, as we’ve yet to confirm this.

Fiat gave us a futuristic view a four-door pickup truck crossover-combo at last year’s Sao Paulo Motor Show in Brazil with the FCC4 Concept, and while the model seen here is way, way more conventional, if you really try, you might find very vague similarities in some details like outline of the tail lamps.

We’ll update as soon as we find out more.

Thanks to R. for the scoop!
