2016 Lincoln MKX Promises An Audio Experience Unlike Any Other [w/Video]

In 2014, Lincoln and Revel announced a 10-year exclusive collaboration which will debut with the all-new 2016 MKX midsize SUV.

The first to offer an audio system from Revel, Harman International’s most exclusive loudspeaker brand, the 2016 Lincoln MKX will feature unique speaker placement, the only automotive application of custom Revel Waveguides and point source architecture. It will also get the first combination of QuantumLogic Surround and Clari-Fi combine to personalize audio experience.

Lincoln says the MKX’s Revel audio system will offer a listening experience “comparable to what’s offered only through very high-end home audio systems.” Revel worked with Lincoln engineers and designers to produce a 13-speaker Revel audio system and a 19-speaker Revel Ultima system for the all-new MKX.

“The Revel audio system available in the all-new Lincoln MKX represents a new approach to ensure all occupants – not just the driver – enjoy the best listening experience. Over the course of three years and hundreds of hours of tuning and refining, our collaboration with Lincoln has created the most authentic audio experience possible,” said Kevin Voecks, Revel product development manager.
