It’s not that the stock Ferrari 458 Speciale sounds bad, but crank it up and listen to this thing howl!

Feel free to check out a whole bunch of 458 Speciale YouTube clips in order to get a feel for what the difference is between a stock exhaust and this particular setup from iPE Innotech Performance.

You can best hear the difference once the car revs past 5,000rpm and starts sounding like those awesome V8 Formula 1 cars of old.

A stock 458 Speciale will sound a little more throaty and a little less loud once you rev it past a certain point, which is probably fine with any and all owners since either way you’re driving one of the best supercars ever built. And of course, we’re talking about a 4.5 liter naturally aspirated V8 engine, which is somewhat of a dinosaur nowadays – one that we’d love never to go extinct.

Hearing the iPE exhaust system over and over can really trick your mind into believing that you’re listening to a Formula 1 engine. Even the drive-by footage is convincing, not to mention listening to what that rear spoiler cam is recording. The only time you get a watered down version of that gorgeous F1 soundtrack is when they show footage from the cockpit cam.
