Rumors suggesting that Button is going to retire from Formula 1 are increasing, as the racing driver is allegedly considered as a possible co-host for the revamped Top Gear.

According to the Daily Mail, reports suggest that Chris Evans, the man who replaced Jeremy Clarkson on the famous motoring show, is a good friend of Button and that “an announcement is imminent” regarding whether or not the former Formula 1 champion will join the team.

Truth be told, Button is a natural in front of the camera, appearing on Top Gear multiple times and even on Chris Evans radio show. Being a fresh addition to the silver screen could make him great for Top Gear’s future line-up. In fact, if you ask me, it’s better for the BBC to tryout a more… up-to-date, modern, younger cast.

Jenson, who reportedly admitted that he would retire happy if he didn’t make a podium at Silverstone, is believed to leave the Formula 1 at the end of this season, as McLaren Honda might not guarantee him a seat in 2016.
