As far as facelifts go, the one received by the Audi Q3 has to be one of the most discreet we’ve ever seen in a long time.

Truth be told, the car had only been on the market for three years when the facelift was applied, so it didn’t quite need an extensive makeover.

Carbuyer’s Ginny Buckley tested the facelifted Audi Q3 equipped with the 1.4-liter TFSI engine fitted with the Cylinder On Demand (COD) technology. As you probably know, it shuts down two of the four cylinder when they’re not needed in order to help save fuel.

As the reviewer found out, the claimed fuel economy is hard to reach in the real world, but the COD system does its job seamlessly, without letting the driver know in any way that the engine is running only on two cylinders. Obviously, there’s more to the facelifted Audi Q3 than the clever engine, and the following video review will satisfy your curiosity.
