Here’s a two minute video with WRC cars jumping at the 72nd Poland Rally.

To the disappointment of the 8-year old kid that lurks in all of you, I won’t talk about the fast, colorful rally cars jumping over crests.

Mainly because the video follows a fairly similar structure to the Group B rally events that took place in the late 80’s. Just think about it; extremely fast cars, narrow gravel roads and a ton of people on the side of the path cheering and making things extremely dangerous.

The only key difference here is that the scenario is garnished with lots and lots of action video cameras, mounted on trees, selfie sticks and even on the road – just a few centimeters away from where the cars take off.

You’d think that would be enough to satisfy the spectators, but no; some of the bystanders try to film the ballistic rally cars as close as they can get. Sure, get as close as possible and try to record a flying rally car with your Iphone, because there’s absolutely nothing that could go wrong.

A guy in the 2nd video nearly lost his GoPro to Robert Kubica’s Ford Fiesta. But hey, at least he got some sick footage of a rally car coming straight at you.
