Citroen To Debut C4 Cactus “Mehari Revisit” Variant At Frankfurt Motor Show

Confirming an older rumor, Citroen is in fact going to bring a C4 Cactus Mehari-like version to the Frankfurt motor show, although we don’t know if we should be excited or not yet.

According to the official announcement, it’s not a concept, but “a fresh and invigorating version of the C4 Cactus that revisits the spirit of the legendary Méhari.” That’s all they’ll say as they devote the rest of their announcement space to listing the other premieres they are going to show.

Aside from that, a new version of the C1 will debut as well, as well as refreshed versions of the C4 and Berlingo Mutlispace. The additional C1 could be the production variant of the C1 Urban Ride Concept shown at the Paris motor show.

The C4 Cactus Mehari version is more intriguing, though. We can’t say with certainty what it will be about, or whether it was previewed by any older concepts – our best guess is the Lacoste concept from over five years ago.
