Not saying that you should park wherever you damn please when you own a luxury car, but watching that tow truck struggle to pick up this Maybach 62S is pretty rewarding.
I admit to being somewhat conflicted here. Why am I rooting for the Maybach? Maybe it’s because I had my car towed once under questionable conditions, and had to spend a lot of money in order to get it back. Or maybe it’s because I keep hearing stories about cars being damaged while being towed.
I mean, the punishment should fit the “crime”, right?
On the other hand, I’m totally against people (wealthy or otherwise) just doing whatever they want and parking their cars in public places, restricting traffic, as if they own the whole street.
I did enjoy hearing the car’s alarm go off, as if to further attract attention and embarrass the guys trying to lift it up onto the truck bed.
To their credit, they quickly realized that it wasn’t going to work and left the car alone. Unfortunately they also left it in a position where it blocked traffic even more.
Oh well, that’s what you get for picking a fight with a car that weighs well over 2,720 kg (6,000 lbs).
