If someone organized a beauty contest for passenger vans, I’d put my money on the Mercedes-Benz V-Class.

And I’m talking about the standard model, not the sharper-looking AMG Line package that has just been announced by the automaker.

Set to debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month, the V-Class AMG Line marks the first time an AMG Line package has been offered on a model of the Mercedes-Benz Vans division. Available to order from the end of 2015, the AMG Line package brings both styling upgrades and additional comfort features.

Design upgrades include more aggressive front and rear aprons, distinctive side sill panels, an additional spoiler lip, as well as 19-inch AMG light-alloy wheels in a seven-twin-spoke design.

Inside, the V-Class AMG Line brings air vents in silver chrome, a sports pedal cluster in brushed aluminum, carbon-fiber look trim and a black headlining. It also offers new optional extras including a big panoramic roof, a large center console with an integral cooler compartment and LED-illuminated thermo-cup holders, two iPad holders in the rear and rear seat air conditioning.

Performance-wise, the Mercedes-Benz V-Class AMG Line comes with a 17-inch braking system, brake calipers with Mercedes-Benz lettering and a sport suspension lowered by 15mm (0.59in). Additionally, the spring and damper setup is firmer than on the standard model. Customers can also order with the AMG Line pack the Agility Control suspension featuring frequency-dependent, variable damping.

The AMG Line pack can be ordered for all engine variants and body lengths of the V-Class and V-Class Avantgarde.
