In honor of the Targa Florio, a legendary mountainside race in Sicily, Porsche is bringing us the 911 Targa 4S Exclusive Mayfair Edition, limited to just 10 units.

Built directly by Porsche Exclusive, this car pays tribute to the race that inspired Porsche to create the 911 Targa in the first place.

In fact, Porsche won 11 Targa Florio races, including one where a 911 Carrera RS edged out prototypes from both Ferrari and Alfa Romeo.

Unfortunately for fans, Porsche is only building 10 of these so you better head on over to your friendly neighborhood online configurator and get yourself a regular 911 Targa, since these will probably be very tough to land.

The car also features a couple of classic touches such as houndstooth pattern seats and fuchs alloys, so it may not be to everyone’s taste – some people do like their 911s to look as modern/sporty as possible.

Either way, this is a beautiful car. Performance should come from the same 3.8 liter engine that produces 400 PS and 440 Nm (324 lb-ft) of torque in the regular Targa 4S, a car that can get from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.8 seconds if you shift manually.

Of course, a PDK version will reach that same speed in 4.6 seconds, but this exclusive car is more about tradition than it is about flat out performance – not that a Porsche ever lacks performance.
