Seen as how the Dodge Challenger Hellcat has been the king of all muscle cars ever since it came out, Mustang fans can finally exhale and see the mighty Dodge get its rear end whooped.

Look, there’s no denying the fact that the Challenger Hellcat is an absolutely terrific car. You get all that power (707 HP) for under $60,000 and that’s enough to call this car a winner in anyone’s book, right?

But what if you don’t want such a massive car like the Challenger? What if you want a more agile muscle car, with a better interior? Well, this is where the Mustang comes in – specifically, a tuned out of its mind version of the Mustang courtesy of Hennessey Performance.

The car is called the HPE750 and it’s got 774 HP. What this means is that it’s got plenty more muscle than the Hellcat, and it weighs less.

You really shouldn’t be at all surprised by the result of this drag race. You get all the data even before you can press play. You know the Mustang has more power, you know it doesn’t weigh as much as the Challenger, so all that’s left is to see how badly it beats it from 30 to 165 mph (48-265 km/h).

The Challenger Hellcat does hang in there for a few moments thanks to its massive torque. Then once both cars shift gears, the HPE750 Mustang starts pulling away consistently.

However, you’ve probably noticed the two Corvettes at the beginning of the video, right? Hopefully we get to see that drag race as well, because a stock Z06 should be able to put up more of a fight.
