The all-new 2016 Kia Optima is available in the United States with a range-topping SXL grade equipped with a 2.0-liter GDI turbo engine.

Carried over from the previous-generation model, the 2.0-liter turbo delivers 245hp at 6,000 rpm and 260lb-ft (352Nm) of torque at 1,350 rpm and is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.

On 2016 Optima SXL models, Kia’s signature tiger-nose grille is “hot stamped and composed into a sophisticated pinpoint design that bears a strong resemblance to Kia’s luxury sedan, the K900 – those are Kia’s words, not ours…

From there on, it’s all about the equipment, with the Optima SXL getting standard Bi-Xenon HID headlights with Dynamic Bending Lamps and High Beam Assist, as well as LED halo-style taillights that mimic those from the Cadenza. The newly-designed 18-inch alloy wheels are also unique to the SXL grade. Inside, the 2016 Kia Optima SXL features Nappa leather trim as well as heated and ventilated, power adjustable front seats.

And if you’re still looking for something that could put you to sleep, here’s a list of other available technologies and features for the SXL:

Harman/Kardon QuantumLogic 6 Premium Surround Sound Audio System with 10 speakers, Clari-Fi technology and an upgraded 630-watt
digital amplifier; a 360-degree Surround-View Monitor; Advanced Smart Cruise Control (ASCC); Blind Spot Detection (BSD) with Lane Change Assist; Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA); Rear Parking Assist System (RPAS); Front Collision Warning System (FCWS); Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) and Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB).”
