The Nürburgring Nordschleife is no playground. If you’re going to drive on the Green Hell you better make sure you’re 110 percent committed and avoid going beyond your comfort zone.

The following footage shows one of the worst accidents we’ve seen happening on the Nürburgring. The driver of a Renault Megane RS was filmed on the dashcam of a Nissan 200SX as he lost control of the car at a very high speed with ugly consequences. According to the YouTube poster, he was going “in excess of a 120 MPH [190km/h +]”.

As the Megane RS was overtaking the Nissan, for some reason it ended up partially on the grass on the left side of the track and was then catapulted into the opposite fence.

The impact was incredibly violent and sent the car up in the air and then on several rollovers before coming to a halt. Considering how bad the accident looked, it’s a somewhat surreal scene to see the driver get out of the car on his own two feet. He was obviously shaken by the impact, but aside from some minor bruises and cuts – always according to the video poster- he’s fine. His ego is another story.

Thanks to Manu for the heads up!
