Let’s face it, even if you’re one of a hand-full of people willing to buy an Audi A4 pickup truck, you’d still be absolutely shocked if they were to ever build one.

Besides, who’s going to be sold on some 2.0 TDI version of the thing? Not only will it look silly, but it will also be annoyingly mediocre to drive in terms of performance.

Maybe the way to go with this rendering is to imagine it as some type of European version of the Holden Ute SV6 Storm, in terms of how it relates to the rest of the A4 line-up.

It would probably have to come with the engine from the S4 in order to peak anyone’s curiosity, but let’s face it, I’m having a tough time sticking up for this rendering and you all know it. There’s no way this thing ever gets made, and odds are there’s nobody out there who’s even remotely interested in buying one.

Sure, Australians might be interested, but they’d have to spend more than they would on the Holden, which wouldn’t make a lot of sense financially. Here’s an interesting thought though. Is there any European saloon which might also make sense as a Ute/El Camino type of thing?
