While we’ve seen some behind-the-scenes footage of the Aston Martin DB10 before, this time we can hear what Daniel Craig and director Sam Mendes have to say about the car.

As you may have already heard, the DB10 was developed specifically for the movie Spectre, with just 10 examples built – all of which somehow survived after performing some very difficult stunt sequences.

The DB10 celebrates Aston Martin’s half century association with James Bond, which began in 1964 with the legendary DB5. It’s also pretty exciting to hear Daniel talk about the car as being something unique and that has “a few secrets” which naturally we can’t wait to see.

Of course, the Jaguar C-X75 is also stunning, but all exceptions aside, Bond movies have mostly been about Aston Martin cars, regardless of what the baddies were driving.

Some may remember the Lotus Esprit, the Bentley Mark IV or the Z3, 750iL and Z8 BMW trio, but looking back, models such as the Aston Martin DB5, V8 Vantage Volante or the V12 Vanquish have always resonated better with the character.

After Craig was brought in to play Bond, we’ve seen the DB5 return (twice), the DBS (also twice), and now we’ll be admiring the DB10 – a V8-powered bespoke coupe, possibly featuring a 6-speed manual transmission.

Spectre will be released in the UK on October 26 and in the US on November 6, 2015.
