A 68-year-old driver has been arrested and charged after swerving and hitting a passing motorcycle on a Texas highway this past weekend.

Video footage from a motorcyclist riding behind the two victims, Eric Sanders and his 38-year-old girlfriend, Debra Simpson, who was a passenger on the bike, shows William Crum side-swipe the pair on Tin Top Highway near Granbury, Texas, as the motorcycle tried to (illegally) pass over a double line.

While Sanders only suffered some abrasions, his girlfriend, Debra Simpson, 38, wasn’t as lucky, as she was transferred to a nearby hospital with a broken wrist and deep arm lacerations, but is listed in stable condition.

With the two motorcycle victims on the ground, the biker with the helmet camera approached a defiant Crum. “What were you doing? You hit them!” says the man with the camera. “I don’t care!” says Crum, the driver of the white car. “I don’t care. Double yellow stripes. I got stung by a wasp,” he’s heard saying in the video.

Crum slightly changed his story when speaking to CBS where he said that he was bitten by a spider, as well as to NBC5 where he told reporters that he reacted to an insect bite. “All of the sudden I felt this tremendous stinging in my left leg. I immediately went like this,” he told NBC5.

Police didn’t believe him either way and Crum now faces two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony, which according to NY Daily News, can result in two to twenty year in prison for each count.

This didn’t stop Crum from continuing his aggressive behavior: “I’m pissed off, just to put it bluntly,” he said on Tuesday, ABC reported. “Because the other guy didn’t get charged with anything, and his own video incriminates him.”

H/T to Maria!
