It’s these kind of stories that keeps every enthusiast on their toes; our favorite Nurburgring maniacs managed to make the rusty ‘Ring Banana’ Miata go round the Green Hell in just 8:39.5, using nothing but a set of a well-tuned coilover suspension, sticky tires and Gabriele’s insane skills behind the wheel.
Their noble adventure started with the cheapest used Mazda MX-5 NA they could find online and their sole purpose was to show the world that you don’t need heaps of money or big horsepower figures to go fast on a track with a car.
