Apparently, not everyone knows that the Tesla Model S features (legit) rear-facing child seats. A concerned citizen in Colorado saw a child sitting in the truck of a Model S and called the police to report the incident, which was captured on film.
The video starts with the on-board footage from the ‘green car’, just as it pulls into the driveway, with a surveillance camera taking it from there. Audio is available, so we can hear the actual conversation as well.
When the police arrive, an officer starts questioning the owner of the red sedan for possible child abuse after transporting the infant in the car’s trunk. However, this isn’t the standard version of the Tesla Model S, as it was equipped with an extra row of rear-facing seats suitable for children, so it’s easy to imagine the confusion.
The policemen start laughing about the misunderstanding and some names are written on a piece of paper, but since nothing illegal was discovered, they quietly leave the scene.
