VW is expanding its seventh-gen Golf lineup with the addition of the Match Editions, in Britain.

The most affordable model is the Match BlueMotion Edition 1.0 115 PS in a 3-door body style, equipped with the 6-speed manual transmission, at £19,840. The 5-door model in the same specification can be ordered from £20,495 and if you want to add the 7-speed DSG, get ready to pay £21,910 in the 5-door variant.

Next up, the Match Edition is offered in nine different versions, in 3-door and 5-door body styles, with the 6-speed manual, 6-speed DSG and 7-speed DSG as well. Prices start from £20,400 for the 3-door equipped with the 1.4 125 PS TSI and a 6-speed manual and they go up to £24,840 for the range-topping 2.0 150 PS TDI, with a 6-speed DSG, in the 5-door body style.

The Golf Match adds  ACC Adaptive Cruise Control with Front Assist and Emergency City Braking, PreCrash preventive occupant protection, Driver Alert System, Driver Profile Selection, automatic headlights and windscreen wipers, paring sensors, front fog lights and the 16-inch Dover alloy wheels.

Other features include the added Discover Navigation system with a 6.5-inch color touch-screen control system, CD and radio functions, dynamic navigation based on TMC live traffic updates, Car-Net Guide and Inform online services.

The VW Golf Match BlueMotion is offered with a single 1.0-liter TSI engine, producing 115 PS (113 HP), returning 65.7 mpg UK (54.7 mpg US / 4.3L / 100km) combined. The Golf Match Edition is available with the 125 PS (123 HP) 1.4-liter TSI, the 110 PS (108 HP) 1.6-liter TDI and the 150 PS (148 HP) 2.0-liter TDI. Full pricing info is available below.
