The three pointed star’s compact four-door coupe, the CLA, is getting ready for its first facelift.

This isn’t the first time that the 2017 Mercedes-Benz CLA ends up in the news as spy photographers have nabbed the model on camera several times over the past few months.

The light exterior changes on the CLA will resemble those found on the 2016 A-Class, on which it’s based, while the cabin will reportedly be updated with new front seats, a different steering wheel, a tweaked instrument binnacle and a larger display for the upgraded infotainment system.

The 2017 Mercedes-Benz CLA should carry some updates in its engine lineup too, in order to provide more power, improved fuel consumption and lower CO2 emissions. In its range-topping version, the CLA 45 AMG, the 2.0-liter turbo four-pot will be maintained as it was recently upgraded to produce 381PS (367hp) and 475Nm (350lb-ft) of torque.

The facelifted four-door coupe is expected to be unveiled sometimes next year, along with its five-door version, the CLA Shooting Brake.
