A small company named Hoffman & Novague released, earlier in the year, a sports car titled the Skoda R200 Non-Fiction that payed homage to Skoda’s 130RS.

Effectively a first-generation Audi R8 with a custom bodywork, the car not only looks unlike any other but, as the following video proves, it is also completely functional.

It recently celebrated its track debut at the Slovakiaring Circuit, where it made the most of its supercar underpinnings. As expected, given its origin, it is more than capable of some impressive speeds on the racetrack.

Beneath the skin, the R8 V8’s engine remains unchanged. The powertrain that displaces 4.2-litres has an output of 414 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque, which are good enough for a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in around 4.6 seconds and a 300 km/h (186 mph) top speed.

Hoffman & Novague actually plans on producing the R200 Non-Fictionin in extremely limited numbers, with a starting price of €255,000.
