The upcoming Fiat Tipo hatchback returns to our attention with a new spy video that shows a camouflaged prototype. This isn’t the first time that we get to see the Italian compact, as just a few weeks back, our spies managed to capture it too.

The new model comes as a replacement for the Fiat Bravo and it is based on the already unveiled Tipo sedan.  The front is expected to remain unchanged while the rear end will be different and it will bring, besides a tailgate, a modified bumper, a new design for the taillights and a roof-mounted spoiler with an incorporated third brake light.

In the cabin, the future rival for the VW Golf, Ford Focus, Opel Astra, Renault Megane and others in the C-segment will get the same design as its sedan sibling/

The engine lineup is believed to remain unchanged from the new Tipo, and include two petrol and two diesels, with outputs ranging between 95 PS (94hp) and 120PS (118hp), paired to 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmissions.

A more practical five-door estate model is expected to debut sometime in 2016. The new Fiat Tipo will be produced at the Tofas plant, in Bursa, Turkey, where it will be sold under a different name,: the Aegea.
