Honda’s Six Modulo Concepts Catch The Eye Before Tokyo

Beyond the five concept cars from Mugen being displayed at the 2016 Tokyo Auto Salon, Honda has previewed a number of other models for the show.

These cars come from the Japanese carmaker’s Modulo customization program and aren’t as outlandish as the creations from Mugen. Pictured are the Modulo packages for both the Honda S660 and N-One, as well as modified versions of the Step WGN, Fit, Civic Type R and N-Box which will also be on display at the show.

Kicking things off is a special S660 adorned with a white and matte black livery. It sits on new wheels and the rear decklid includes a small roof-rack displaying a travel bag. As for the N-One, it is painted white and includes red wing mirrors and a red roof, The front grille, headlight surrounds and wheels and then painted in black. There is also a small roof spoiler.

Moving to the N-Box Modulo X package, it includes redesigned front and rear bumpers and wheels as well as cleared and tinted taillights. The pillars, roof and roof spoiler then offset the white paint adorning the rest of the exterior body panels. As for the Step WGN Module Concept, it too has a white and black theme and consists of a far more aggressive front bumper and grille, new side skirts, a rear spoiler and custom wheels.

The Honda Fit Modulo concept is perhaps the most minimal of all only including side skirts, wheels, black elements on the rear bumper and black across the front end.

Finally is the Honda Civic Type R Modulo package with new wheels, front grille surround painted red, red rear wing end plates, red brake calipers, red wing mirrors and black side skirts.
