Lamborghini has prepared a supercar for enthusiasts with a mid-mounted naturally aspirated engine and rear-wheel drive, in a segment filled mostly with turbocharged and AWD models.

This is the Huracan LP 580-2 and it was unveiled  last month at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show. The successor of the Gallardo LP 550-2 has ditched the regular model’s all-wheel drive system in favor of a rear-wheel drive layout.

Lamborghini’s engineers didn’t stop there because the suspension was tweaked too, while unlike its LP 610-4 sister, which sports 610PS (602hp) and 560Nm (413lb-ft) of torque, its 5.2-liter V10 is a bit down on power delivering 580PS (572hp) and 540Nm (398lb-ft) of torque.

The new setup has lowered its 0-100km/h (62mph) sprint time by 0.2sec and its top speed too, by 5km/h (3mph), to 3.4sec and 320km/h (199mph), respectively.

The supercar’s first promo is everything we expected it to be – fast driving on the track, loud accelerations, power bursts, drifting and a short brief  that will make you share the footage with your friends.Check it out for yourself below.
