Alongside the P1 hybrid hypercar and the 570S sports car, the McLaren 675LT will long be remembered as one of three vehicles which turned the British automaker into a true rival for established sports car marques like Ferrari, Porsche and Lamborghini.

Whereas previous McLaren’s launched since the original 12C were criticised for their lack of emotion and focus on lap and acceleration times, the P1, 570S and 675LT all turn attention towards the driver to offer thrilling motoring experiences almost unmatched in their respective markets.

As production of the McLaren P1 recently concluded, the 675LT is the fastest and most powerful model currently being produced by the firm. Combining the stripped-back and raw attitude of the Ferrari 458 Speciale with a twin-turbocharged V8 engine like the 488 GTB, all 500 units of the 675LT sold out almost instantly after the car’s unveiling. Even all 500 675LT Spiders sold out within two weeks.

As they’re all accounted for, it’s inevitable that at least some will go into exclusive collections rarely to be driven again. Thankfully the following 675LT registered in Dubai has already been driven to its limits at the Yas Marina Circuit, performing this epic burnout a couple of months ago.

Seeing and hearing the 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 with 666 hp on tap pumping out a burnout which would make the most wheelspin-prone American muscle cars envious, this short clip sums up the 675LT perfectly.
