In a world where leading racing cars, like F1 and LMP1 racers, are becoming more fuel efficient and less pleasing to the ears, the sights and sounds produced by both classic and modern rally and hillclimb cars is not something to be overlooked.

Believe it or not, but hillclimbing is one of the earliest forms of motorsports and even in 2015, proves to be particularly popular around the world. Unlike most other racing series where drivers compete against each other on wide, smooth and often boring racetracks, hillclimb events are about racing against the clock and most excitingly, on tight and twisty public roads.

Recently in Switzerland, the Bergrennen Oberhallau hillclimb event was held and as evidenced by the following video, it attracted a wide array of cars from brand new and heavily modified Seat hatchbacks through to classic Porsche 911s, BMW M3s and perhaps our favourite of them all, a Lancia Delta S4.
