Porsche has plenty of cars in the 911 family to satisfy the needs of its fans. From the Carrera, which starts from under €98,000 ($121,097) in Germany, to the insane GT2 RS and its hefty €282,220 ($348,736) asking price, there is something for everyone.

The latest member to join the lineup is the GT3 RS. It’s a facelifted version of the current model, which brings a few visual revisions on the outside and several updates in the cabin.

Nothing mind-blowing so far, but the ‘new’ 911 GT3 RS manages to produce a whopping 520PS (513hp) from its tuned 4.0-liter flat-six naturally aspirated engine.

That’s 90PS (89hp) less than the Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4, which has four extra cylinders at its disposal. The GT3 RS needs an identical 3.2sec time for the 0-100km/h (0-62mph) acceleration, and reaches a top speed of 312km/h (193mph).

So, on paper, it has the right ingredients to attract enthusiasts, except for a manual transmission. However, if the stick shift is essential to you, then perhaps the lesser 911 GT3 is the right car for you – and you’ll save you €42,721 ($52,790) in the process, as the GT3 RS starts from €195,137 ($241,128) in Germany.

Celebrating the introduction of the latest 911 is yet another official video, which shows the sports car on the track, dissected in between apexes. The film should keep Porsche’s fan base occupied until the GT3 RS debuts in full at the Geneva Motor Show next month.
