Lexus seems to believe the LC luxury coupe and the color yellow are a perfect match, something that’s not at all easy to argue with.

We’ve been seeing a fair share of yellow Lexus LCs recently, including at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. That’s where the LC Inspiration Series wore a Flare Yellow paint. We then saw the coupe rocking the same color last month at the Paris Auto Show where the LC Yellow Edition debuted.

Now it is time to focus our attention on Lexus’ home market, where the company has just unveiled the LC “Luster Yellow” limited edition model.

Available at dealerships across Japan for only two months (October 31-December 31), this special edition model is similar but not identical to the European model. For starters, it adopts a Naples Yellow exterior paint that gives the car a little bit of a golden glow. The color fits the LC’s sculpted bodywork brilliantly and is complemented by 21-inch forged aluminum wheels. The latter feature a polished finish and black-painted pockets.

The body color is echoed inside by the bright yellow door panels as well as the yellow stitching on the seats, dashboard, central armrest, steering wheel, and gearshift lever. The car also sports exclusive CFRP scuff plates with “LC Limited Edition” lettering in yellow. Finally, the headliner, sun visors, pillars, and parcel shelf are covered with Alcantara.

As you can imagine, the LC “Luster Yellow” comes loaded with features. Standard equipment includes a color head-up display and semi-aniline perforated leather front seats with ventilation and heating. The front seats are also 10-way power adjustable, with the driver’s seat featuring memory settings as well.

Lexus offers the “Luster Yellow” package for both the LC 500 and LC 500h. Prices start at ¥14,350,000 (approximately $127,130) for the V8 model and ¥14,850,000 (about $131,550) for the hybrid.
