This is the Geely GE11, the car the Chinese automaker believes will help it crack foreign markets. The first details and images of the vehicle were announced a month ago. These latest pictures provide us with a more in-depth look at the electric sedan and have been accompanied by some all-important powertrain details.

The GE11 is fitted with a single electric motor producing 163 hp and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft). Geely’s entry level model couples this motor with a 52 kWh battery pack while the long-range version has a larger 62 kWh battery pack. Range sits at 410 km (254 miles) for the 52 kWh version and 500 km (310 miles) for the 62 kWh model.

Apart from the reasonably powerful electric motor and decently sized battery packs, Geely is keen to stress that the GE11 has a drag coefficient of 0.2375.

As for its looks, the electric sedan incorporates a simple front fascia without a large grille, featuring only a a small intake towards the base of the bumper. The sides of the GE11 are perhaps the most interesting aspect of the car thanks to a character line that stretches back from the front wheel, along the doors and slopes upwards towards the rear side windows before finishing at the corners of the taillights.

While the exterior isn’t particularly fascinating, the interior certainly is. Cloth trim appears to have been applied to the seats and parts of the door panels while there are also a number of chrome components, including the door handles. The GE11 is also equipped with a futuristic two-spoke steering wheel and lacks a traditional gauge cluster. In its place is a tiny screen that sits vbehind the steering wheel that displays key vehicle data. There’s also a head-up display and a large, horizontal screen in the center of the dash.

Prices for the entry-level Geely GE11, which should make its official debut at the Shanghai Auto Show, start at 150,000 yuan ($22,410) in its home market, while the long-range model is priced from 170,000 yuan ($25,400).
