A special version of the Chrysler 300 SRT dubbed the ‘Pacer’ has just been introduced in Australia. The car takes inspiration from the 1969 Valiant Pacer and will be limited to just 50 units offered in Bright White, Gloss Black and Ceramic Grey.
Adorning the exterior of the 300 SRT Pacer are a number of unique black and red decals as well as a ‘Pacer’ logo and ‘Pacer 392’ badging that sits proudly behind the front wheels and is a nod to the car’s displacement of 392 cubic inches.

Beneath the hood buyers will find an individually-numbered built plate that is unique to each vehicle. Alterations continue in the cabin where there are ‘Pacer 392’ sill trims and ‘Pacer’ labeled front floor mats. Dodge has also adorned the center console with a special edition plaque denoting the vehicle’s build number.
Much like the ‘regular’ Chrysler 300 SRT, the Pacer edition is fitted with a naturally-aspirated 6.4-liter HEMI V8 putting out 469 hp (350 kW) and 469 lb-ft (637 Nm) of torque funneled to the rear wheels through a ZF 8-Speed automatic transmission complete with a launch control function.
“Marking the 50th Anniversary of the much loved Valiant Pacer, we’re excited to celebrate such a milestone with this limited edition car – a revival of the Pacer nameplate for Australian motoring enthusiasts,” director of product for Chrysler Australia Guilliaume Drelon said. “This is truly a modern take on an Australian classic and we’re excited to bring the Pacer back in this exclusive run of fantastic looking vehicles.”
The car is available to order from AU$69,950 (US$47,914).
