Geely-owned Lynk & Co has launched yet another SUV in China and it’s called the 06.

The name might confuse you because it doesn’t indicate the vehicle’s size. Actually, the 06 is the smallest model in Lynk & Co’s SUV range, slotting below the 01 SUV and 02 crossover in the lineup. We’re talking about a compact SUV that’s 4,340-mm (170.8-in) long, 1,820-mm (71.6-in) wide and 1,625-mm (64 in) tall, with a wheelbase of 2,540 mm (100 in).

The 06 SUV is instantly recognizable as a Lynk & Co model as it adopts the brand’s signature design language.

The split headlights look very familiar, as do the taillights and the C-pillar treatment. Let’s put it this way: if the 06 were in a police lineup alongside the 01 and 02, finding the suspect would be awfully difficult.

Despite the obvious similarities with its larger siblings, the Lynk & Co 06 does look a bit sportier and more youthful. That’s largely due to its proportions, orange accents on the grille, roof and wheels, as well as the modern interior featuring a fully digital instrument panel and large central display.

Customers will be able to equip the 06 with options like a parking camera, rear parking sensors, fog lamps, adaptive cruise control, panoramic sunroof, and more.

The Lynk & Co 06 will offer two powertrain choices: a petrol engine and a plug-in hybrid system. The first to launch is a 1.5-liter three-cylinder turbocharged unit rated at 177 PS (175 HP / 130 kW) and 265 Nm (195 lb-ft) of torque, hooked to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Later on, Lynk & Co will also offer a 190 PS (187 HP) plug-in hybrid powertrain combining the 1.5-liter turbocharged three-pot with a 60 kW (80 HP / 81 PS) electric motor and a battery pack.
