Modellista has just introduced a handful of parts and accessories for the new Lexus LX, making the luxury SUV stand out even further.

The first part manufactured by Modellista for the LX is a distinctive front bumper extension that provides it with a slightly more overt look. Next on Modellista’s agenda were a set of stainless steel side steps with black painted accents. Spin around to the rear and the tuner has also crafted an extension for the bumper that complements the new front lip, making a bold visual statement. Last but not least is a set of 22-inch forged aluminum wheels that Lexus LX owners can order.

The front bumper extension is priced at 187,000 yen ($1,631) painted, the side steps cost 132,000 yen ($1,151), the painted rear skirt is 181,500 yen ($1,583), and the 22-inch wheels cost 1,111,450 yen ($9,695) without tires and 1,444,450 yen ($12,599) with tires.

The new Lexus LX 600 was unveiled in mid-October and shares its underpinnings with the updated Toyota Land Cruiser. Whereas its predecessor was sold with a 5.7-liter V8, the LX 600 is offered exclusively with a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 producing 409 hp and 479 lb-ft (649 Nm) of torque, significant gains of 26 hp and 76 lb-ft (103 Nm) over the LX 580. Coupled to this engine is a 10-speed automatic that promises to be smoother and more responsive than the old eight-speed ‘box.

Among the other important mechanical modifications made to the SUV include the fitment of an adaptive variable suspension system, a new electric power steering system, and electronically controlled brakes. It also features an improved Active Height Control system that automatically adjusts the ride height based on the driving conditions.
