Over the years, we have seen the Toyota MR2 falling into the hands of numerous kit car makers who have used the Japanese sports model as a base for the creation of all sorts of replicas.
Among other clones, the mid-engine MR2 has been transformed into a Ferrari Enzo, a Ferrari 460 Modena Spider, a Ferrari F430 Spider, a strange looking creation from Japan called the DragStar F1 Dragon, a Gumpert Apollo and believe it or not, even a Ford Mustang Eleanor.
What he hadn't seen before is a Lamborghini replica, with this build coming from Bulgaria. The owner of the Murcielago lookalike says that it is based on a second generation MR-2 from 1992, which at the time, was often referred to as a poor man's Ferrari due to its resemblance to the 348 and F355 models.
This example is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that's good for 163hp (165PS), linked to a manual gearbox driving the rear wheels. The car is said to have covered around 75,000 miles or 121,000 kilometers.
Even though the Lamborghini MR2 is located in Bulgaria, the eBay seller is offering it for sale worldwide at a buy it now price of US$31,500 (19 900GBP or 25 000EUR).

This is maybe the best replica ever.
Enough with the crappy Lamborghini replicas already. The first 50 posts about 3rd world made replicas were fun, but now they're just annoying.
Bulgaria ist not really a 3rd World country...
... but yes sometimes I also don't like those Replica-Posts, but I have to admit that this one is one of the best or even the best replica I saw here.
amazing, one of the best replicas ever
pure and simple

I guess I should not speak for everyone.......so this is from me only......F. O.
That looks really good. The only thing that tips me off on the outside is the small wheels.
A failed (or cease & desist) Great wall repli-car- probably some moonlighting Litex motors employees trying to earn some extra cash. Just a thought-not a fact.
No offense, I live in the other 3rd world country from EU :)
But indeed, it is one of the best replicas, mainly because of the wheels and spacers.
Hugh, let's make a pact and ignore each others post on this blog. I know it is probably harder for you because you're hunting my posts, but I'll be easy on you.
here's the thing about replica, guys know it, chics don't, and that's how we get hot chics on a frugal budget.
That is a pretty good clone! and for that price, everyone should get it lol.
This is by far THE BEST replica I've ever seen. Yes it's evident that it's not an original Murci but hey, people should have fun and it's nice to see a tastefully executed replica that pays homage to a legendary car.
It's hard to ignore an itchy rash, but I will try. You can stop being a censor.
This one actually looks pretty damn close to the real thing...
It's not a bad looking replica and might fool the typical non car enthusiast.....but you'll get caught out when a soccer mom full of kids in a Chrysler minivan blows you away at the traffic light.
its weird how the mr2 is such a good base for replicas
