Independence Day, not the film about invading aliens, but the national holiday in the United States commonly known as the Fourth of July, celebrates the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, from the Kingdom of Great Britain.
It’s also a day when families and friends get together to break out the grill and bring out the booze, have some summer fun, and enjoy the traditional fireworks and the occasional burnout happenings – for those who like to take their classic American metal out for a ride.
