You can now add the United Arab Emirates and the country’s most populous and famous city, Dubai, among the places visited by Mercedes-Benz’s upcoming CLA Shooting Brake, an estate-bodied version of their slick compact model.
Spied by a reader of IndianAutosBlog, the tester sported some hastily put together camouflage wraps on the rear end. Much like it’s big brother, the CLS Shooting Brake, the compact model has a curvier / sexier profile than your usual Benz station wagon, while keeping the same tail lights as the sedan version.
Other than the bigger and more practical boot, and possibly a minor improvement in rear passenger headroom, the CLA Shooting Brake is no different from the saloon and will feature the same range of four-cylinder diesel (in select markets) and gasoline engines.
The lineup will topped off by the CLA 45 AMG edition (see a prototype here) with the crazy 355hp (360PS) 2.0-liter force-fed four connected to seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
We hear that the CLA Shooting Brake will appear either late this year or in early 2015.
