Toyota has updated the Verso-S B-segment MPV (called Ractis in Japan) three years after its debut in order to align it with the brand’s “Keen Look” design. The most obvious changes are at the front end, which has received a new upper grille with a chrome bezel surround, as well as updated headlight clusters. Additionally, the headlights now feature LED daytime running lights offered as standard on all grades.

The rear end also features a new light design, with the LED taillights said to offer “more distinctive contrasts”. The Verso-S gets a new 16-inch alloy wheel design with 3-D effect, as well as a new bronze metallic paint replacing the current light blue metallic.

The cabin now offers a choice of a single-tone black interior or a bi-tone brown interior with black seat bolsters. Toyota says the trim, dashboard graining, silver stitching and elements have been revised and refreshed to improve the sensory quality onboard.

In terms of equipment, the refreshed Toyota Verso-S (also sold as the Subaru Trezia) gets a standard tire pressure warning system, as well as the Toyota Touch 2 on mid and high grades. The latter features a 6.1-inch full color touch screen display, Bluetooth connectivity for hands free calling and music streaming, a USB port to connect portable music players and an optional DAB/DAB+ radio. A rear-view camera is fitted as standard.

Additionally, the optional upgrade Toyota Touch 2 with Go provides full map navigation with customizable speed limit and speed camera warning, as well as on-board connectivity to services and applications including Toyota Real Time Traffic powered by TomTom, Google Street View, Panoramio, Google local search, weather, fuel price and parking space information.

Sales of the updated Toyota Verso-S will begin this summer in Europe.
