Forza Horizon 2 stands a very good chance to become a cult classic to rival the regular Forza games in the franchise. I mean, it’s got the same (if not better…) graphics, the same roster of cars, the same physics and endless upgrade options, plus the allure of a fully open world set in the sun-drenched south of Europe (think French Riviera, windy Italian mountain roads), now with realistic weather phenomena too.

Revealed via the trailer posted below, the game looks very pretty and is obviously the Xbox One version of the title; a different variant of the game is being developed for the Xbox 360, but as you can imagine, that won’t look  nearly as good as this.

There’s still some time to pass before you’ll be able to play it, though, as along with the trailer, the publisher also revealed the September 30, 2014, release date.

Expect some gameplay videos to filter through onto  YouTube in the next couple of days, as the game will be previewed at E3. Cars confirmed for the game build that will be shown at the venue are the Lambo Huracan, the Corvette Stingray and Nissan GT-R Black Edition.
