GM’s study that had everyone talking about it in Detroit, the Buick Avista, is back with a chopped roof, courtesy of rendering artist Theophilus Chin.

While Buick wasn’t too keen on disclosing any plans on the Avista, a production version of the elegant concept is plausible, as it shares an identical wheelbase length to the new-gen Chevy Camaro, pointing to the use of GM’s RWD Alpha platform that also underpins the Cadillac ATS and CTS.

If a coupe were to be made, then a convertible version would almost surely follow, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves…
