After the introduction of the new E-Class, it’s only natural for Mercedes to update their flagship in order for it to remain the tip of the arrow in their range.

Mercedes has a few S-Class prototypes out there, with each one having a different feature under covers. There have been some mules driving with their headlights under black tape with this one having just its front grille hidden.

The only thing they all had in common was the interior which was completely covered and that means that the S-Class is going to get some updates inside. With the new Mercedes E-Class using a similar screen layout for its gauges and infotainment with the current S-Class, chances are that Mercedes will improve the cabin of their flagship to keep it on top.

This means that features like the touch-sensitive controls on the steering wheel, the latest version of the company’s infotainment system and of course the Drive Pilot, the semi-autonomous tech that debuted with the E-Class are going to be present in the updated big Benz.
