Only days after a number of images leaked online, Jaguar confirmed that the high-performance F-Type SVR will indeed launch at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show on March 1.

Alongside this confirmation, the British marque has also released the first three official images of the car, showing it in both coupe and convertible guises.

While we’ll have to wait until February 17 for full details about the F-Type SVR, Jaguar says it will be capable of hitting 320 km/h (200 mph) and as expected, by produced by Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations department, becoming the first series production car manufacturer by the exclusive division.

According to a leaked brochure, the F-Type SVR will utilize the same supercharged 5.0-liter V8 of the F-Type R models but rather than 542 hp, will pump out 567 hp and 424 lb-ft of torque. When coupled with an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, the car will reach 100 km/h in a blistering 3.7 seconds.

Images reveal that the potent sports car will also be adorned with a range of visual and aerodynamic tweaks over lesser models. For example, a new bonnet with air extractors has been fitted, a more pronounced front splitter is present and a large fixed wing is found at the rear.
