Bentley's Mulliner Bespoke Division Features Make Debut On Flying Spur

As if the Bentley Flying Spur wasn’t exclusive enough to begin with, Mulliner’s new bespoke interior features will certainly make it feel even more select (if that’s even possible).

The Crewe-based car maker’s in-house coach-building division just revealed its latest range of bespoke accessories for the Flying Spur, offering Bentley customers even more personalization options for the four-door sedan.

In fact, Bentley says that for the first time, the Flying Spur can now be commissioned with refrigerated bottle cooler between the rear seats, painted veneers, Mulliner quilted leather, sterling silver atomizers, and hide-trimmed stowage boxes – just to name a few – transforming the automobile into an even higher-level product, as Geoff Dowding, Director of Mulliner explains:

“Mulliner offers customers the opportunity to personalise their car over and above the one million plus combinations already available to them. Creating bespoke features is about understanding our customer needs and requirements and the Flying Spur is a perfect outlet for us to interpret their ideas.”

Of course, these accessories are manufactured in Bentley’s accustomed fashion, with significant attention to detail. The refrigerated bottle cooler, for instance, is composed of a bottle stopper and two bespoke champagne flutes, all secreted behind frosted glass; the flutes are designed so that the base of the glasses replicates the design of Bentley wheels.

Mulliner has even redesigned the the doors of the Flying Spur to accommodate “hallmarked silver atomizers” – which can be used to spray a mist of water and perfume. The painted veneers are an interesting sight as well, Bentley bringing its vast exterior paint range into the cabin with the intention of creating an ultra-modern look for the interior. Yup, Bentley still uses carefully selected wood interior trim pieces in its vehicles, matched, flawlessly painted and applied to the substrate by its master craftspeople.
