The famous actor has just become the latest Hollywood star to get involved in the 24 Hours of Le Mans after announcing that his BAXI DC Racing team will compete in the most famous endurance race.

Last year, Chan’s team won the LMP3 class of the Asian Le Mans Series with drivers Ho-Pin Tung, co-owner David Cheng and France’s Thomas Laurent.

For the Le Mans 24 Hours, the team will jump up into the LMP2 category and campaign an Alpine A460-Nissan under the Sparkle Roll Group-Jackie Chan DC Racing name.

An excited Chan said: “Following a great performance by our team in the Asian Le Mans Series, I am happy that we will have the privilege to race in the WEC, and of course the 84th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

“I will support Chinese motorsport and driver development so I created the team together with David Cheng. I look forward to personally attending this year’s Le Mans 24 hour race to support my team and my compatriot drivers David Cheng and Ho-Pin Tung.”

David Cheng and Ho-Pin Tung have been confirmed as the two drivers, with an announcement of a third driver expected to come shortly.
