First 1,000 Mustang Deliveries Reach UK Customers

While total sales are still accelerating past the 3,500 mark, over 1,000 UK customers have now received their RHD Mustangs.

According to Ford, 80% of UK Mustang customers have opted for the fastback model (coupe) over the convertible, with 68% choosing to go with the 5.0-liter 416 PS V8 engine.

In terms of manual vs automatic, it’s almost a draw with 54% going for the six-speed manual transmission over the six-speed auto with SelectShift paddle control.

As for color, the most popular Mustang exterior among UK buyers is painted Race Red (29%) with Magnetic Silver coming in second (17%) and Shadow Black third (15%). The top five is rounded out by the Triple Yellow (9%) and Ruby Red (7%) colorways.

Starting with March 2016, the Mustang’s color palette has been updated to include White Platinum, Grabber Blue and Lightning Blue, as Competition Orange, Deep Impact Blue and Guard Grey are no longer available to order.

Prices for UK-spec Mustangs start from £30,995, with all versions featuring the SYNC3 8″ color touchscreen with nine-speaker DAB radio as standard, as is USB & Bluetooth connectivity.
