VW continues testing the updated version of the Amarok, with both single- and double-cab versions spotted in Sweden.

The facelift is going to bring the Amarok pickup truck in line with the fresh face of the VW Tiguan, with new headlights that incorporate the LED daytime running lights, a new grille and bumper. The rear will also get a similar treatment, despite the cars photographed here having the bottom of the current model.

The cabin will also be updated with new graphics and better quality materials, along with the use of the company’s latest infotainment system. Safety features will be enhanced with the adoption of the Front Assist with City Emergency Braking and Pedestrian Monitoring system.

We also expect VW to update the existing engines for better fuel efficiency while there’s a chance to see a new unit making its debut as well.

The complete reveal of the new 2017 VW Amarok is expected towards the end of 2016.
