Designed exclusively for the Chinese market, the new Audi A4 L is one of the four-ring brand’s premieres for this year’s Beijing Auto Show.

Standing at 4.81 meters (189 in) long and sporting a wheelbase of 2.91 meters (115 in), 4 cm (2 in) longer over its predecessor, the stretched model is now significantly lighter, as it has dropped 110 kg (243 lbs) from its total weight, while maintaining its sedan body style and specific lines.

On the visual side, it features no changes over the standard-wheelbase A4, meaning that customers will get the same aggressive front end with optional Matrix LED headlights or standard xenon plus units, while in the cabin, it has automatic air conditioning, head-up display, Audi Virtual Cockpit, with 12.3-inch display, Wi-Fi hotspot, smartphone integration and a Bang&Olufsen sound system.

Engine lineup includes a 2.0-liter TFSI, in two outputs, with either 190 HP or 252 HP, both connected to a 7-speed automatic gearbox with double-clutch, sending power to the front wheels or the Quattro permanent all-wheel drive.

Audi will offer the new A4 L exclusively in China, where it will go on sale this summer. Pricing has yet to be revealed.
