With 50 years having passed since the opening of Lotus’ Hethel factory, this limited edition Evora 400 is thought to be the best possible car to help celebrate such a rich heritage.

Set to be the first in a series of special products marking this important milestone in the company’s history, the Hethel Edition Evora 400 is available in three exclusive colors, with matching trims and a special commemorative build plate.

Customers can choose between Essex Blue, Motorsport Black and Racing Green when ordering the car, with either red or black leather, or Alcantara interior trim.

Every Hethel Edition Evora 400 comes with lightweight silver forged wheels, contrasting brake calipers and bespoke graphics.

Performance remains the same as the 1,395 kg car is capable of accelerating to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 4.1 seconds while 100 km/h (62 mph) only takes an extra 0.1 seconds. The top speed is 186 mph (300 km/h) for the manual version, and it’s all thanks to the 400 HP, 410 Nm (302 lb-ft) 3.5-liter V6 engine.

“The Evora 400 is the latest in a long line of world-beating sports and racing cars to have all been hand built in Hethel over the last 50 years. We are immensely proud to be part of the community and it is entirely fitting that this limited edition be dedicated to our home. We’re looking forward to celebrating our connections to Norfolk throughout 2016, and more Lotus Hethel Anniversary news will be announced soon,” stated Jean-Marc Gales, Lotus Group CEO.

Prices for the Evora 400 Hethel Edition stand at £75,500 for the UK, €100,500 for Germany, €101,350 for France and €105,400 for Italy.
