Mazzanti Automobili has dropped a new trailer with the upcoming EV-R hypercar, highlighting some of its specs.

In line with the brand’s founder Luca Mazzanti statement, claiming that the EV-R will be the most powerful road-legal Italian supercar, the footage reveals a peak torque of more than 1,200 Nm (885 lb-ft) from the 7.2-liter V8 engine that drives the rear axle.

The engine is surely one of the fundamental elements of a Hypercar. We have been making a meticulous work at 360°, releasing a new motor; the number relative to the torque is astonishing, more than 1200 Nm!“, Luca Mazzanti tells.

The automaker continues to keep the horsepower number a secret, but reveals that sprinting from naught to sixty (96 km/h) will take just 2.7 seconds with the hypercar continuing all the way up to a top speed of 250 mph (402 km/h). Brembo is responsible for stopping the EV-R through their carbon ceramic brakes.

Pricing remains unknown, but the EV-R is expected to be more exclusive than the Evantra, which is produced in 5 units annually and costs £665,000 ($959,000). Mazzanti’s latest exotic will see daylight at the 2016 Turin Motor Show, on June 8.
